Displaying HTML (MIME) mails with inline images - through embedded browser

I found out that there is a problem with displaying HTML mails if there are inline images in them.

The fact is that the problem is related to the preference option “Disable embedded browser for MIME mail”.

If this option is selected then the mail is displayed (including inline images) by the LN client itself with all old problems in rendering.

If the option is not selected then the embedded browser is used instead but then inline images are not displayed at all.

It would be nice to have the possibility to use the embedded browser for MIME mails because of its rendering possibilities.

Does anybody know if the problem is known and included on the fix list?

Subject: The same in LN 8.0.2

I tested the problem in LN 8.0.2 also and it is still here.

Please try unchecking the option Do Not Show Remote Images Without My Permission

First I tried disabling the embedded browser, and it didn’t make a difference.

Then I noticed this option and unchecked it, in File / Preferences / Mail / Internet, bottom of this tab.

Try it and let me know if it worked for you.

Thanks.
