We have created Discussion Databases on our Domino 8.5.3 server using the template discussion8xl.ntf (StdXLDiscussion dated 01/12/2011).
Searching for strings in the Notes client and also in the web client using the ‘mobile.xsp’ option returns the desired results. However, searching inthe default ‘desktop’ XPage web view returns no results - rather the whole database is displayed and the filtered results obtained on the same database using mobile web XPage view and the client view are not returned.
It seems froma PMR I raised about this that the issue is known about and will be fixed in release 854. SPR # EGLN8PKENK proposes an XPage code modification as a workaround.
It seems that the more recent (June 2012) version of the template in the http://extlib.openntf.org area only works with the ExtLib pack - and not with Domino Update Pack 1. I’m rather reluctant to install ExtLib from OpenNTF as I’ll have to remove it carefully later when 8.5.4 arrives in Q4.
Does anyone have a suitably modified version of discussion8xl.ntf that works properly with the Update Pack 1 extensions?
