Is there a way to automate disabling all ports except for TCPIP during setup of the client?
Subject: Disbling ports during setup
Via the notes.ini
So have a standard notes.ini with the line
Ports=TCPIP
DisabledPorts=SPX,LAN0,COM1,VINES,COM2,COM3,COM4,COM5

Thanks for the feedback. Tried that option placed exactly those lines in the pre setup/configuration notes.ini but once the client is configured the lines are modified to:
Ports=TCPIP,LAN0,COM1,COM2
DisabledPorts=SPX,COM3,COM4,COM5
It appears the client configuration picks up on what is configured at the operating system level and I want to amend this behavior but don’t know how to or even if it is possible

Did you find a solution for this issue? I’ve validated your results in my environment and have opened a PMR with IBM. I modifed the installed NOTES.INI file with the Install Tuner, but as you already know, configuring the client overwrites those values. ![]()
