I have a user who has been reporting that he is receiving calendar meeting invitations, but is not able to respond to them properly. He is indicating that the invitation will show up in his mail file, yet it will disappear (whether or not he processes the invitation). If he doesn’t process the invitation, it will disappear. If he accepts the invitation (soon enough), it shows up on his calendar, then when it disappears from his Inbox, it also disappears from his calendar. Whenever it disappears, it is NOT in All Documents either!
I’ve gone through upgrading his client to 7.0.3, rebuilding his client as if he were new, replacing the template on his mail file with the discussion database, then back to the DWA7 template, running fixup -f, updall -r, and compact -c -i -L.
After doing all this, I submit an invitation to a test meeting. It shows up in his Inbox (as well as on the clustered database on another server). However after a few minutes, the invitation indeed disappears from his Inbox on his primary mail server (ie. Server A). I can open his mail file on the Clustered Server (ie. Server B), and the document is still there. If I COPY the document from Server B to Server A, then 2 copies are on the clustered server (Server B). If I delete the copy I made, from the primary server (Server A), then it also is deleted from the clustered server (Server B), yet the original document remains on Server B.
This has been driving me nuts all week! I’ve exhausted all of my ‘fixes’, short of calling IBM. They are my next step, but I was hoping maybe someone could shed some light on this.
About the only other thing I thought to do was create a brand new Mailbox for this user, copy all documents from the existing mail file to the new database.
One final thing…NO, there is no “auto-processing” in his preferences on his mail file.
Any ideas?
