When attaching files into a new document, the compress feature is checked by default. Does anyone know how to changed this so instead it is unchecked by default?

Do you mean the compression setting of the database?
It is in the database properties infobox “advanced” tab, uncheck “Use LZ1 compression for attachments” option.

I think you are talking about this checkbox, below? I do not believe there is a way to change the default “state,” but I will check with Development…
update - Per DEV, unfortunately the checkbox value is hard-coded - there is no way to change it.
