Disabling "Automatically close" Strings fails to disable that "functionality"

  • I turned off (as in removed the check mark) in preferences for “JavaScript → Editor → Typing”, “Strings” under “Automatically close”. That should have, afaik, stopped the JavaScript editor dialog from auto-completing quotes on String values.- It did not. I still get quotes put in “for” me, and one press of " consistently gives me two “” in the editor, regardless of context.

  • If that setting does not affect the JavaScript editor dialog (reachable from many different XPages properties buttons), then what does?
