In the company i work for, all application icons are removed from the user’s desktop. This is done as part of the package deployment. So notes.exe can only be launched via the All Programs menu.
It seems though, that when notes.exe runs, if the user does not have an eclipse workspace (i.e they are launching notes for the first time), it creates one for the user. However, when it does this, it recreates the desktop icon. Specifically, it appears to be doing this as it is enabling features, but i can’t tell specifically which.
Is there anyway to disable the icon replacement on workspace creation? Or perhaps a way of adding a feature which will remove the icons and ensuring that it gets enabled last?
