Is there a way to disable access to the Lotus Domino server via MS Outlook? Either through the MS provided connector or the DWA for Outlook connector.
I have some user’s that insist on using Outlook, and I want a way to kill that access so that they have to use the standard client our enterprise has selected.
You would have to disable the POP3 and IMAP tasks on your server. The DAMO client doesn’t go over these protocols. I believe that it’s just over port 1352.
If there is a corporate firewall client on the desktops, then you could reject outlook.exe from talking to the network.

Unfortunately, I have already made sure those protocols where disabled on the servers. However, the user is still able to access the server using Outlook. I am forced to assume that the Outlook Connector for Notes is using NRPC as well and thus, not effected by IMAP or POP3.
Was wondering if there was an INI setting I could use to restrict what clients could connect to the server. Figure there must be as there is one that controls what versions of ST Connect can connect to an ST server.
