Directory assistance not working

Please help….

I am trying to add additional address books to the choose address book field when creating a new memo on client desktops. I assumed I could accomplish this with Directory Assistance. I have not been able to get this to work and here are the steps I have taken so far:

  • I created a directory assistance database named emailgro.nsf on our only server by using the DA50.ntf template.

  • I did not make any changes in regards to replication because we only have one domain and server.

  • In the directory assistance database name field under the server document for our server I put in emailgro.nsf

  • I restarted the server

  • I added Directory assistance under the configuration tabdirectorydirectory assistance with the following settings: oDomain types: Notes

oDomain names: EmailGroups

oMake this domain available to: all checked

oGroup authorization: yes

oEnabled: yes

oNO OTHER CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE

  • I then created mailgrou.nsf from the template pubnames.ntf.

What else do I need to do in order to view the secondary domino directory I created? What steps am I forgetting. Keep in mind the above steps come from me following the help notes on directory assistance.

The part I don’t understand is how directory assistance knows the secondary domino directory I created is mailgrou.nsf. In directory assistance is there a place to specify the name of the database, in this case mailgrou.nsf.

Thanks in advance…

The part I don’t understand is how directory assistance knows the secondary domino directory I created is mailgrou.nsf. In directory assistance is there a place to specify the name of the database, in this case mailgrou.nsf.

To specify the directory, see step “9. Click the Replicas tab” of Creating a Directory Assistance document for a Domino Directory or Extended Directory Catalog
