DIRCAT Replicates every 3 hrs instead of 30 min

All of our Notes clients have the dircat replicated locally. Replication is suppose to be every 15 minutes. What we see is every client replicates every 3 hours during the workday at 10:00, 1:00 and 4:00, like they are synchronized to do that. The default location document has replication set for every 15 minutes.

This bogs down our replication server when all the clients hit it and then the wide area network takes a hit because the clients don’t get fast enough response from the server and connect to a server off campus.

Where do we look to determine what’s causing this and get the clients staggered on their replications?

Thanks,

Are the DirCat databases setup as Low, Medium, or High priority replication, and what is the replication interval for high priority replication in your location document?

The database is setup for standard medium replication every 60 minutes.
