We have a database that is full text indexed. The database resides on a Domino Server and there are no local replicas involved. We have two users who have the exact same access and roles assigned. When one of them searches the database with a specific word, she gets 7 results. When the other issues the same search in the same view, he only gets 2 results. They are both in the same office (across the aisle from each other) using the same client (6.5.4).

I’m at a loss as to why the different results.

Any ideas???

It turns out the user getting only 2 results actually had a bookmark to the development database on the development box. Even though he was using the database on the production box, I believe his searches were using the FT Index on the development box. We deleted the bookmark on his workspace, compacted it, and then had him launch the production database again. This time, his search worked correctly.
