I designed some Domino database, which are used both with the Notes Client and the Browser. The database are fulltext indexed including attachments.
Unfortunally sometimes searching with the same searchstring using the browser compute a different result set then using the Notes Client.
For example the Notes Client found two documents, where the search string is used as a cell comment in an attached Excel-File, but these documents did not appear starting the same search on the web.
Has anyone notice this inconsistent behavior too and experience, how to bridge this gap?
It seemed not be a really bad problem, but it’s a factor which damaged the user acceptance of the applications.
Another strange behaviour: When opening in document of the search result in the client, sometimes there is coloured marker at the attachment, which included the search string, sometimes not. I see no rule, why a marker is set or not. Is there a way to clear this inconsistence?
