Differences in Printing Smtp email

When printing emails recieved via SMTP, some emails print with a generic internet letterhead (loooks similar to internal email) and on others no letterhead or bolding is done (it makes it hard to quickly find the author). Any ideas of what is causing this?

Subject: Print from view

I’ve found that if you print the document from the view - right click - then you can print the message nicely formatted as you would expect. I do wish they would fix this.

Subject: I logged a PMR

I had users complaining about the same issue and logged a PMR but I was told that they could not replicate the issue and I should do further testing. I thought it had something to to with Mime and Notes Rich Text format. With the document open it appears to print in mime but if your print it from the view its in Notes Rich Text.

Subject: 8.5.1 mail template the same…any news?

…you can print OK from view level but not from an open document. Did you get anywhere with raising this with IBM? I found a fix in the R8 forum which was to add the line BrowseRenderPrintNotes=1 to the notes.ini but this does not work on the 8.5.1 client

Subject: Still get this running v8.5.1 FP2

Anyone find a fix yet?

Basically, if I am in a Notes-routed email and click Print, the “Print Document” dialog appears and the email prints as expected.

If I am reading an SMTP-routed email and click Print, a different “Print” dialog appears and the header info that gets printed appears to come from a portion of the MIME header, text only, no Notes header.

Using the View - “Switch Form” and choosing another email form (reply, reply with history) and then clicking Print will bring up the correct “Print Document” print dialog.

Any thoughts? Anyone know the PMR number created originally?

Subject: I’m having the same issue

Appreciate if someone can post the solution here.

Subject: Still happening in v8.5.1 FP3

Printing from the view level is your best work-around.

Subject: Same problem!

Running 8.5.2 with the latest mail template and it is still a problem here.

Logged a PMR today

Any solutions apart from the print from view?
