Difference Between $ and $$ fields

could anyone please tell me what is the difference $ fields and $$ fields shown in document property.

There is no documented difference. By definition, all items starting with the $ sign are reserved system items. Therefore you should not make up your own field names starting with a $: The next version of Notes might just come up with a new system field of that name.

Also, the number of dollar signs used by Lotus is not limited to 2. There can be system items with 3 (and I think even 4) dollars. However, there is no documented rule how and when a field gets one, two or more dollars as prefix.

And then there are a couple of system items with very special meanings, that do not carry a dollar in their name at all: SaveOptions, MailOptions, Categories, HTML, SecretEncryptionKeys to name a few.
