Diff between LS:DO & LSX LC?

Hi All,Would like to know the difference between LS:DO & Lsx LC?

pls anybody can explain the difference?

LS:DO (Lotus Script Data Objects) uses ODBC to connect to other relational databases.

LSXLC (Lotus Script Extensions for Lotus Connectors) is a connecter written to connect to databases. I dont have much idea on this.

But for LS:DO you need a ODBC connection to be setup in Windows to be able to work, but not the case for LSXLC.

Thank you Phani,Which means LSX LC not required to setup DSN name in the ODBC drivers?

You need a working connection to your backend from wherever the code is running(server or workstation). This may include DSN if you happen to use ODBC which is one of the options for LC LSX. Note it is much better performance to use the native connectors where possible vs ODBC.

Yes. You need to include a reference to lsxlc dll (or something) in the Options section like this -

use “*.lsxlc”

And you can asusual start working on the classes without creating a DSN.
