Try searching any notes db for the word anything then the word field.
This causes the error:
“Query is not understable”
Otherwise, try searching for the word field on its own, that gives “The field name used in the query cannot be found in the database”

Put the word “field” in quotes and try it.

Generic,
You’ll also have trouble doing full text searches against the underscore character, asterisk character, etc. I’m waiting for someone to write a paper about how this all ties in to Godel’s proof about mathematics.

Don’t forget the little known bug, which has been in Notes since the 3.x days, which means you can’t search for the word ‘gullible’.
