Did I just miss this?

Did I miss the install/post install tasks to perform after upgrading to 8.5? I looked in teh release notes for 8.5 and all it covers is “Installation and Upgrade” for Domino for “i”.

I upgraded a test server, formerly 7.0.2 and was just looking other tasks that needed to be run (or switches I needed to add to compact and updall, something, anything). Thanks

Subject: Upgrade information

Hi Patrick. We’ don’t publish upgrade information in the beta release notes. We do plan to post an article that contains some upgrade information in the Notes and Domino wiki at 8.5 ega. So be sure to go to the Domino page of the wiki after 8.5 ships: http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/dominowiki.nsf/archive?openview&title=Lotus%20Domino&type=cat&cat=Lotus%20Domino&sort=I

Subject: Ahh, thanks!

Thanks all for the responses. I wanted to test upgrading to get a bit of a jump on things. I finally pulled out other upgrade notes and rolled the dice that not all that much had changed. Seemed to work well enough for testing purposes!

I have that particular session on my list of ones to attend, should be great. Thanks again to everyone who responded!

Will be presenting at Lotusphere 2009 and contains some of this information

If all you were doing was an upgrade and not upgrading to ODS51 or upgrading to ODS51 and enabling DAOS…

we recommend a minimum

updall

against all databases because of a design collection change made for XPages (Only Design Collections will be rebuilt - No Views)

If you wanted to be able to take immediate advantage of some Read Entries Code Optimization you could do

updall -R

which will rebuild all views already created and that will obviously take more time…

You can use .ind files to run multiple updall tasks at the same time.

Once done simply start the Domino Server.
