Dialogbox issue

Hi everyone!

I have a form called frmPhones which contains two fields:

name and phone number. This form has a reader field.

I have another form called frmMain which contains a lot of sections and fields, as follows:

Section A

Name 1:

E-mail 1:

Address 1:

Phone 1:

Name 2:

E-mail 2:

Address 2:

Phone 2:

Section B

Name 1:

E-mail 1:

Address 1:

Phone 1:

Name 2:

E-mail 2:

Address 2:

Phone 2:

And so on.

On the top of this form there’ll be a button labeled “View phones” (the phones won’t be saved on the Main doc). So, when the user clicks on the button, a dialogbox (or something similar) is displayed showing the phone numbers that the current user has access and that are contained on the Main doc.

For example:

Section A

Name 1: Paul

E-mail 1: paul@domain

Address 1: xxxxxxxx

Phone 1:

Name 2: Mary

E-mail 2: mary@domain

Address 2: xxxxxxxxxx

Phone 2:

Section B

Name 1: Peter

E-mail 1: peter@domain

Address 1: xxxxxxxxx

Phone 1:

Name 2:

E-mail 2:

Address 2:

Phone 2:

Now suppose that the frmPhones docs contain Paul, Mary, Peter and John phone numbers and that the user can ONLY see Paul, Peter and John information.

Since John is not listed in the example, by clicking on the button, he/she would see:

Paul ------- 123-4567

Peter ------ 234-3333

in the dialogbox and not John (because he isn’t in the Main doc) neither Mary (because he is not in the reader field of Mary’s doc).

Does anybody have an idea of how can I do that?

Or give me some directions?

TIA,

Renan

Just embed a view that displays the data the way you want it to show. If a person logs on and is not in the readers field of the document in that view, that document simply wont display.Only documents that have the user in the readers field will display.
