Dialog list

Hi All,

I am facing a problem while populating the dialog list and fetching data from it.

The problem is:

I used to populate this dialog list thorugh formula which fetch item description from a view. This view contains item description like :

Automobiles Industry

Rubber Components

Information Technology

Finance

Value is populated sucessfully but when I choose 1st Option Automobiles Industry then again i want to change its value to Rubber Components or Finance In the dialog box the options are displaying worng ie. Automobile Industry get break in to two option Automobiles and Indstry as seperate Entry.

So user get confused while choosing it and also choose sometime wrong they feels Automobile is different entry and Industry is different Entry.

How do I ristrict it to break from white space character.

Please suggest me.

I will be very thank ful to you

First of all I would like to say thanks for your kind and quick response. But as per your suggested linked there is suggested that off the allow multiple value, Which I already off it though I am suprising why this is not fixed.

Thanks with Regards,

Vikas

Did you read the response to my post? - that will describe how to fix it in your position then…

Subject: RE: Dialog list

Yes Friend I read your posted response and Link. This is your posted Response:

"I think that you may have allowed multiple values and the space is a multi-value separator. Check the multi-value options on the 3rd tab of the field properties "

in the 3rd tab multi-Value options is disabled because I have not checked allow multiple Values.

Now tell me did you responded any thing more as pasted your linked response above.

Thanks

Vikas

So I asked, did you read the reponse to my other post? The poster had exactly the same issue as you (hadn’t got multi-values checked), but he/she found that selecting it, changing the multi-value separator, then de-selecting it fixed the problem. There, that saved you having to read further didn’t it?

(Sorry, that’s very sarcastic)
