One user in particular is having major issues when sending attachments.
The recipients of his emails get the “The attachment may be corrupted. Would you like to continue with the available data?” when trying to open the attachment.
Clicking YES gives “Attachment has been modified or corrupted since signed!: Cound not save the to file…”
Click NO gives “Encoded Data Checksum Mismatch - Attachment may be corrupted: Could not save to file…”
We’re running 6.5.5 servers and clients with iNotes6 templates.
I tried running the technote agent to reset the signature field. No success.
I tried creating a brand new mail file. No success.
These “corrupt” attachments work fine through webmail, so it’s specific to the Notes client.
This is with brand new mail with brand new attachments (no R5 incompatability issues as some threads suggest).
Our mail files do not have LZ1 compression enabled. Our mail.box’es have LZ1 compression enabled. I checked the attachments via the $FILE field, and they’re being compressed with HUFFMAN 1 compression.
It seems inconsistent. Sometimes it happens sometimes it doesn’t. But it happens more often than not and is specific to only a couple users.
We’ve ruled out Groupshield or the client virus scanner since it’s specific to a couple users only.
We’re totally out of ideas of how to proceed.
I’ve read through lots of threads for these types of errors, but they either aren’t the same scenario as our issue, or the resolutions don’t work.
