Desktop too big

Hi!

I need to backup desktop after the users quit Notes, each day. Some users has desktop more than 200 meg. In those desktops, there is some private views. When i delete private views, the desktop is about 10 megs. But each day the users create private views, so the desktop go to 200 meg.

Do you have a solution to have desktop under 100 meg?

Do i have something to do with the private views?

My recommendation is to edit the design of these application so that at least they don’t contain “private on first use” views. Alternatives have been discussed extensively in this forum.

ZIP them for storage??

OR

run nCompact task on the desktop.dsk before copying
