Desktop setting not always applied

I have to change the format for messages addressed to the internet to MIME for all users (Location document, tab Mail) and users should not able to change it.So I created a organisation policy with a Desktop settings document with Mime format: set value and prevent changes. It seemes that for some clients this setting is not applied to their location document and is still on “Notes Rich Text” and editable. I runned a policy synopsis for two users, one with the correct setting and the other with the setting not applied. Strange: both synopsis results say: MIMEMail = 2 from Desktop settings assigned in policy */.

Server is Domino 8.5.1 and the clients are both 8.5

And yes I guess deleting all the policies locally is one way, but that is not always practical. Let me know if you get a better answer

Hi,

Go to local names, locate view ($Policies). Delete all documents.

Wait for policies to refresh.

Subject: Centrally managing clients?

Thanks for your suggestion.I was getting happy to have the possibility to central managing clients. Now I have to walk along every client with this issue.

But I will try and hope that in the case of future policy changes it will work as it should!
