DeskTop Policy Change to Notes.ini not sticking. .

I created a Desktop Policy to change the value of DSTLAW in the client Notes.ini, BUT it is acting weird.

I want to change the value of DSTLAW to DSTLAW=3, 2, 1, 11, 1, 1

The current value is DSTLAW=4,1,1,10,-1,1

I assigned the policy to my person document through administrator

I closed Notes Admin and Lotus Notes

I signed back into Lotus Notes

I then opened Windows Explorer and found my Notes.ini file

DSTLAW reflects the new value of DSTLAW=3,2,1,11,1,1

If I close Notes a second time, and open it again, the DSTLAW value reverts back to DSTLAW=4,1,1,10,-1,1

What is going on? What am I missing?

Thanks,

Chad

I am working on this exact same thing.

http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=463&uid=swg21196837

I ran across your posting because I’m looking for a solution to my problem. I followed IBM’s basic instructions on customing the Desktop Policy Settings form, closed Lotus Notes, relaunched, and my notes.ini did change correctly. However, it’s not changing for everyone in the company. Some people are getting the DSTLAW parameter changed in their notes.ini file and some are not.
