Designer-page-links access control

Hello,

I designed page with links to files. I’d like to have control on access to this links for some users. For example I’d like to set that user1 will have access to link1 and link2, and user2 will have access to link2 and link3 etc… is it possible? Could I check after click who clicked it and open this link/file or not… is it possible that way?

Why not create roles and then use the same in hide when for the links.

Select the role for appropriate user and then hide the links based on the role… like if the user doesn’t belong to this role then hide it.

This is the easiest way to solve this issue.

Hide-when’s are not security measures (in the notes client at least)…

Unless the design is hidden, the user can copy the database design and get the links.

You should use readers fields - except that they don’t exist on pages. So, you need an alternative.

You could store them in documents that the users have only read access to. That would also make it so that you can have someone update the links w/o a design client.

Hi,

OK, but what should I put in “Hide paragraph if formula is true”?

I tried to use some examples from help, but they result with error “@Commands and other UI functions are not allowed in this context”
