Designer crashes opening anything

I’ve been using Notes 8.5 since it was released.Dozens of DB’s opened using Designer.

Suddenly, Designer crashes on any Db trying to open anything - form, view, frameset - anything - any Db.

I deleted bookmarks, cache.

I cleaned out all temp files anywhere.

I then uninstalled Notes and reinstalled into the same location - C:\Notes.

Same problem with designer.

I uninstalled and reinstalled Notes twice more.

Same problem with designer.

I then reinstalled into a new location (Programs/IBM/Lotus) and after copying my old names.nsf and desktop6.ndk everything is back to normal.

Houston - we have a problem.

There are other reports of the same or similar problems on the forum but no solutions.

There is something seriously wrong that should cause this to happen.

I’ve been using Notes since Ver 2.x (I used to be the Lotus Hotline Supervisor in Sydney, Australia) and I’ve never seen anything as bad as this.

Is this Vista 32-bit?

I can’t access the document where you posted the NSD, I received an error about too many paragraphs.

Since this is with 8.5 Gold, I would also encourage you to create a PMR

Subject: I think I’m seeing a similar problem

I have a thread below in which Notes was becoming unresponsive after an hour of working.

Today I realized that I was fine for about 4 hours, until i started designer… after about 15 minutes all my Notes windows became unresponsive. I’ve now restarted my PC after a nsd and deleted he cache file and everything has been good for over 2 hours.
