The notes db links in the launch pad omit the “Open Designated Frameset” property. The idea must have been to enable e.g. direct view links but in our case the databases must always be opened with the frameset. The outline frame contains some hide when logic, which is lost when opened from the launch pad. And of course it’s a design question as well - all nice frames/pages are lost.
At the moment i don’t know how to deal with this issue. Is there a way to prohibit the users from using the launch pad?

Perhaps you can redisgn the main documents so that they use the Auto-Frame property. The auto-frame opens all the frames “around” a given URL or Form after the main document was opened.
I didn’t verify if this will also work on the Notes client side with the launch pad link, but it’s worth a try.

When the users add it to the LaunchPad by dragging an open view, it creates a view link. Not really bug, but definitely not a feature.
This is a bit of a pain, but it works. Find the database icon on the user’s workspace and drag it from the Workspace tab to the Welcome tab, then down to the LaunchPad. This creates a database link.
