Depositing array string in a field

Hi!

I have an array of strings which will be referred to later.

How should i deposit them? Most preferably depositing on the original form.

However the only way i can store array to my knowledge is through replaceitemvalue which is a property of notesdocument and not notesuidocument.

does the following help:

myuidoc.Document.ReplaceItemValue(“fieldname”, aMyArray)

myuidoc.Reload

or

call myuidoc.FieldSetText( “fieldname”, “” )

forall x in aMyArray

 call myuidoc.FieldAppendText( "fieldname", x )

next

?

Hi chris!

Thanx for the reply!

I am trying the 1)uidoc.document.replaceitemvalue method right now.

However there seems to a difference in how the method works when issed from a notesuidocument instead of a notesdocument class. (ie. doc.replaceitemvalue) i have also tried set doc = uidoc.document.

The result is that when i do method(1) the field stores the whole array of strings inside as 1 item. whereas while storing in a separate document and storing the array in a field there allows me to obtain the arrays 1 by 1.

Sorry if this post is confusing

And also i have not tried the second method which u supplied because i’m not sure how to obtain the strings separately by appending them one after another.
