Delivery failures, from Failed Mails from Spoofed addresses

I’m going to post this again, I’ve been trying to find informaiton on it , but no luck.

Something strange has started to happen, we think its related to the R6 upgrade but are not 100%. Our end users have started to get Domino Format NDR’s from Emails that they have not sent. Now tracing the SMTP path we know that they are the victims of spammers, spoofed addresses. However the fact that its in the Domino NDR form vs clear text, is causing consternation. And escaping the Spam filter. Any idea why these have suddenly started to appear in the Domino NDR format ? Any way that we can block, NDR’s at the relay for mails that did not originate in our domain ?

Thanks

There’s a config doc setting in R6 which enables converting internet NDRs to Notes format so that users have the consistency and convenience of hitting Resend for internet failures. However, it’s disabled by default. From memory (I’m at an R5 installation right now) it’s on MIME - Advanced - Advanced Inbound Message Options, but it might be on MIME - Conversion Options - Inbound.
