Deleting mails activate virus

Hi

I have just upgraded to Domino version 6.5.1 from R5.0.11. After the upgrade when I delete documents from my inbox the mail activates, and that is not the best thing to do when the mail contains virus.

Is there anyway to get around this ???

The documenet is not shown in the preview pane.

And softdelete is on.

Hum, I’m quite perplex. You say having mail messages containing virus in your mail database. So, when deleting an infected mail, the virus is activated…So, first of all, don’t you think it could be great to install an antivirus client on your machine and better, having an antivirus Gateway on Mail Server(s)?

For your concern, do you mean the mail is opened (launch virus) and then deleted?

I have antivirus programs available.

But the mails containing virus, is normally easyly spottet, and can be deleted. Then it is irritating that the virus alert goes off,

I JUST WANT TO GET RID OF IT :wink:

So is your question how to stop your anti-virus software from prompting you for confirmation before deleting infected mails?
