Deleted mails not appearing in Trash folder

Hi All

We recently upgraded our Notes server from 5.0.4 to 6.0. I am now upgrading our users to Client 6.0 gradually and replacing their mail template to Mail(R6). I am leaving the current installation in place and installing Notes 6.0 Client into the same directories. This has worked well so far except for one user. When he deletes a mail it does not appear in the Trash folder (or in All Documents), but seems to be permanently deleted.

Any ideas.

Sounds like soft deletions is not enabled.

Check the database properties of his mail file. On the Advanced tab (the last one with the beany hat icon) check that “Allow soft deletions” is selected. This puts deleted docs into trash and purges them after 48 hours (this value is changeable in the Mail Preferences).
