Delete sent items deletes meeting invitations

Hi,

Anyone recognises this?

Users once in a while clean up their mailfile. On my advice they strip attachments from their mails and also clean up the sent items.

Yes, that type of users exist. :wink:

It happens now and then that by cleaning up, meeting invitations are deleted as well, thus deleting the calendar entry itself.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

I assume since you are posting in this forum that you are using R6 or higher…

Check to see if the Users Mail Preferences and be sure they are set to NOT show the invitations in the Sent view. You may also want to turn on the option to NOT display new calendar entries in All documents either.

I know that even with some of my users ( who have been around since 4.6 ) still have difficulty understanding that the Mail and Calendar are one and the same.
