Delete many Documents takes a long time

I have a very large database (480000 documents) which i have upgraded to R6. In this database i have to delete weekley about 3000 documents with a simpe agent. In version R5 this worked wery well, but in R6 the deletion tooks a very long time (about 5 hours). In this time the database can not been opend. Have anyone an idea of this problem.Thanks for answers.

Hi Mike,

the agent is a simple aktion “Delete Document” for documents in a specified folder.

Wofgang,

I would check the indexes on the folder. Might have been reset during your upgradwe (only a hunch - no experience of this)
