Delegation in ND6 Mail Files with Editor Access

I created a brand new 6 domain for my users and gave them all editor access to their brand new mail files, however, when they try to delegate access to their mail files, it appears to take affect, but others cannot access it and when the original delegator goes back in to try and delegate it again - it’s empty. In essence no delegation is working unless I go manually modify the ACL (which is not really delegation in my mind). The Administration server is their home mail server and is listed in the ACL with manager access as well as LocalDomainSserver with manager access. Anyone know why this isn’t working? Is this because they are only editors in their mail files?Rebecca

Make sure that the Default access to your AdminP database (admin4.nsf) is Author with Create Document. Delegation for clients with only Editor access is handled by AdminP and if the clients can’t create AdminP requests in that database then it can’t work…

Thanks - I just checked the database and it was unspecified no access. I’ll change it - I really appreciate it!

Let us know if it works, for anyone who might be searching for a solution later on.

I am having a similar problem but the AdminP database is setup with the correct access. however the user is setup to work on their local replica with replication enabled every 10 mins.

Lotus says it should still work even if you are working locally.

Does their server mailfile have the correct Admin Server settings etc?

yes everything is set correctly, the weird thing is that it worked from me yesterday but not today??

I am having the same problem, users have Editor access to their mail file, user access to AdminP database is Author with create docs role, however it is listed as Unspecified as they are listed in ACL as */blah (blah being domain name) - should this cause a problem?

The same problem here, with one addition: I can see error in admin4.nsf - “Unrecognized request: 57”. No more details, though. Seems like user has initiated ACL change via delegation in his/her mail file, but something went wrong…
