Delegation, Forward and Sent Folder

I searched this forum and found several instances of my problem but no real answer as to whether this is a bug or feature. Here is what I am trying to do:

Person A has set up delegation to Person B with the following access rights:

Read, edit, create and delete any document, send mail on your behalf

Person B opens Person A’s mail database and performs the following functions:

  1. Create an email to Person C - Sent as Person A with “Sent By Person” disclaimer.

  2. Reply to an email to Person C - Sent as Person A with “Sent By Person” disclaimer.

  3. Forward an email to Person C - Sent as Person B.

Is this the expected behaviour? Why does Forward work differently than Reply?

Any insights would be appreciated.

Working as designed:

Reply to goes from the Mailbox you are currently in.

Forward goes from the Mailbox specified in the current location document.

As to why this is so, I don’t know! But I know it drives some users of group mail-in databases batty when they don’t get the “Forwarded” icon on mail they’ve actioned.

Yeah, our users are really not that excited about it, either. Especially when there are multiple users servicing one shared inbox. Using the Forward technique makes it difficult for two people to tell what has indeed been forwarded.

I put agents in some of our shared boxes, so that the users can see at a glance who’s dealing with what. Eg.

@SetField(“_ViewIcon2” ; 163);

gives a little spy picture. Different numbers, different icons. I let them choose which picture they’d like. Maybe my lot are just easy to please though…
