Does anybody know if this is normal?
I have a user that has granted ‘send on behalf’ access to another user.
If that other user logs in and opens the delegated mailbox he is able to create a new memo and to reply to mails send to the delegated mailbox. The senders field in these cases will contain the name of the delegated mailbox and a send by user entry.
Mails send that way will end up in the delegeted mailboxs send folder.
If the user selects to ‘forward’ a mail from the delegated mailbox only his name appears in the senders field and the mail ends up in the users mailfile send folder and not in the delegated mailbox.
Subject: This is normal!
THe action “forward” can be used with all notes applications, not only with mail files.“forward” everytime creates a new own memo (in the own mail file) with the contents of the selected document.
Subject: Delegated access to mailfile and forwarding?
I’m having a bit of difficulty understanding what you are trying to say here. Is the mail that the delegate sends not getting out of the local mail box? Or, are you saying that mail that the delegate forwards for the delegated mail file end up in the person who has delegate rights to the other person’s mail file? Understand that when a delegate sends out mail on behalf of another Notes user, the person’s ID that was used to create the memo will be the name that appears in the “sent by” field. But, mail being forwarded from the delgated mail file and showing up in the delegates sent folder is very odd indeed. If, in fact that is what is happening…could you clarify this a bit?
