Does anyone know how a supervisor, who has access to an employee’s mailfile, can enable their out of office? The option is missing when you open a mailfile that you have been delegated access to.
Subject: Delegate Out Of Office
In the R6 Client , the Tools - Out of Office will be visible only to the Owner of the mail file. This can be changed in the Tools- Preferences options. This will enable you to set the Out of Office. However,
Pls note: The OOO message will be sent using the id of the person who SETS the Out of Office agent. Hence it coudl be a better idea to use the id of the user or ask the admin to use a backup copy.(if possible)
Also Note:- the server on which the Out of Office agent runs…is picked up from your “Current Location”. So if you are in say Server A and user is based on Server B… then it would be a good idea to modify your home/mail server setting in the location to reflect that of the user whose Out of Office agent you are “hard-wiring”
Hope this helps
