Delay Email Message
I get this question every time we have migrate or new user is added to our servers that have used Outlook before. How can send a delay messages? I tell them that Lotus Notes does not support this function.
My question is, why or is there a way, without using a third party tools “found one” that would allow my users to do this.
Subject: Delay Email
You would not be able to do this straight out of the box with Domino.
But what you can do is create a process which would send the out at a specified time. For example, I have created a database which would ssend email out once a day at a specific time. What I have to do is send an email to a mail-in database using syntax I have coded for. Then an agent on the mail-in database will process all the new documents and send an email an email from the signed user of that document. [Basically is looks like the user sent the email at the time even thought it was waiting in this mail in database.]
Other thoughts:
You can have people send the email via low priority. Then configure the server so send low priority email out at a certain time of day.
