Default design for new folders and views - cannot be set!

hi there!

i used a mail-template from 6.5, multilingual english and german. i replaced the design of my database with the GERMAN parts of it (not with the english ones, so the db is single-lingual).

now in domino designer the “($Inbox)” folder has NO blue arrow in front - the DEFAULT DESIGN FOR NEW FOLDERS AND VIEWS is not set…

when i look in the design of the folder, the appropriate checkbox is ticked. whatever i do, the Inbox does not get the default folder…

i want to use a tool from iris sandbox: foldup. it sais, that there is no default design folder in this db…

any ideas?

There are two separate properties.“Default when database is first opened” is the blue arrow. It is stored in at least two hidden places, and if they get out of synch then strange things can happen. But you do not normally need this for your mail database, because it opens a frameset and the frameset opens your inbox.

“Default design for new folders and views” is stored as a “d” in the $Flags item. If more than one view or folder has the “d” then it would go wrong, but I think clearing and setting the property will fix it.
