Default browser

Default browser set to Google Chrome in Windows. Links in LN were opening in Google Chrome… No porblem.

Later default browser set to IE in windows. Links in LN were still opening in Google Chrome… Thats a problems.

Only happens in Standard client not in Basic.

LN setting: Use the browser set as the default for this operating system.

Any ideas?

Hi

Can you please open your LN’s location document (Prefferenc → Location → Online → Edit) and click on “Internet Browser” tab and check which browser is selected there.

I presume it must be Chrome , just change it to IE and restart your LN

Hopefully, this will going to solve your problem

That’s set to Internet Explorer. As far as I am aware this has not impact on opening hyperlinks.

Subject: Chrome Default Browser

I had the same problem but found a fix/workaround. If I toggled by default browser between Chrome and Safari Notes always loaded Safari. I then set the default to Opera and Notes obeyed that and loaded Opera. I then switched back to Chrome and voila! Notes loaded Chrome.

Subject: Workaround works for me too

Switching to Opera as default browser, clicking on a link in Notes to confirm, then switching to Chrome as the default browser fixed the issue for me too.8.5.2FP3 on Mac OS X 10.6.8

Subject: No joy

Workaround didn’t work for me. I have IE. Added Chrome. Set as my OS default browser. LN used Chrome to open links. But due to corporate Intranet links compatibility issues, I tried to switch back to IE. Set IE as default OS browser, but LN still uses Chrome to open links.

As a result of following this thread, I tried installing Opera and setting that as the default browser. No change. Still used Chrome. So now I’ve uninstalled all browsers except IE, but LN no longer responds to web link clicks (probably trying to open an inexistant Chrome instance).

Only work-around is to use LN’s internal web browser (which is IE, by the way). But I would prefer the consistent UI of an external browser window.
