DECS and Service Errors

I am having a rather weird problem within Notes.

I have an application that will not longer replicate to the server due to DECS and a Service Error.

DECS: Monitor failure – Error: [IBM][iSeries Access ODBC Driver]Communication link failure. comm rc=10054 - CWBCO1047 - The iSeries server application disconnected the connection, Connector ‘odbc2’, Method -Insert- (10054): FSDiary

I went out and made sure that the application is not running and I reset the application on the server. I waited over night hoping that something between the Notes Server and the AS/400 went wrong when the 400 was down for service yesterday.

This morning same error ? DECS is not running I have no connectors within the database.

I check with our Administrator and the Notes Server was not restarted since the maintenance on the 400.

My question is this … with power issues and all happening at our office. Is there away to reset DECS without having to reboot the Notes Server all the time ? Sometimes I have to wait 2 days for this stuff to cycle around for things to work correctly. We can’t have applications completely down for days - right now this is all in a test environment.

If you need more information on this or I need to post elsewhere please advise so I can get the assistance that I need to resolve this situation.
