DECS and Notes replication

I have a database replicated on 2 servers. DECS is running on Server A. When a new document is created or a document is updated on Server B the changes are replicated to Server A and Decs does the insert or update on my SQL server DB. However when I do an update on a record in SQL server the update is performed on the Notes DB on Server A, but the change is not replicated to the notes DB on server B.

Is this a known issue?

Check all the usual replication issues first:

date - times the same/similar on both servers

ACLs correct to allow replication in both directions

When you say ‘do an update on a record’ do you mean you are updating a document in Notes or a record in SQL?

The replication between the databases is fine. When I do a SQL update on the SQL server database, DECS does the relevant update on the Lotus Notes document in database A. Notes replication does not seem to recognise that the document has been updated and so the change is replicated to database B.
