Decrypt journaled mail documents

We have mail journaling enabled. We use the mail in option and we created a user id that encrypts the email. We switch to that id when we need to find an email for someone. Everything works as outlined in the documentation.

Problem: The full text index doesn’t work (or doesn’t appear to work).

Questions:

  1. Is there a way to get the private key of the mail journal ID to the server so that the full text index works?

  2. How do we (admins) get the private key of the mail journal id into our IDs? So that we don’t have to switch IDs? Or so that we can full text index the mail journal database.

Thanks

  • I have looked through all 3 help databases (8/8.5) and was not successful. That is not to say the information isn’t there. It is just that I could not find it.

  • I have looked through the forums for Notes 4 and 5, 6 and 7, 8 and 8.5 and was not successful. That is not to say the information isn’t there. It is just that I could not find it.

  • I asked the Google; same results
