Decimal points

Hi All,

I need your assistance again. I’ve created a view, in the view there is field called OverpaidAmounts but I only need to display amounts with greater than two decimal places.

For example 5678.5690 or 8907.567

Can anyone assist with the above query?

Thanks in advance.

If you weren’t worried about displaying values where 3rd & subsequent decimal are all zeroes (e.g. 12.340000000000 )you could also try:

@if((@integer(value * 100))/100) = value; then; else)

John,

are you saying that if it is 123.4400000000 then you dont want to include that in the view? All numbers have more than two decimal places…so I think I am reading what you are asking right.

john,

pardon me for being dense. all numbers have more than two decimal points…I dont understand your premise.

It only matters if you DISPLAY more than two decimal points.

Give me some situations, examples, etc. so I can understand what you are asking. I will be glad to help.

Hi Matt,

That is OK. Not all numbers have more than two decimal points for the field. Some amounts for the field are 4567.34, 8903.670, 35667.9870.

I need to display amounts greater than two decimal points such as 8903.670 and 35667.9870.

I just need to compare the amounst from Lotus to the amounts in a separate spreadsheet.

Thanks for the help Matt.

John,

I dont think there is a way to do what you are looking for. Assuming that the field is a numerical field, and not a text field. Otherwise, whether or not you see two or more decimal points is just a matter of formatting.

Maybe this would be better handled via email, so we could use screenshots and such. We could post the answer after we figured it out on the forum.

If you are up to that, just contact me at kackster(at)gmail.com.

Hi,

try this

SELECT @All & @If(@Length(@Word(@Text(OverpaidAmounts);“.”;2)) > 2 ; @True;@False)

it will work correctly only if u have 1 decimal point in the number…
