Debugging new UIDOC from action - workspace/bookmark

I know I’ve seen this before in the forum, but I’m going to repeat it …

It would be nice if the debugger can debug another process that starts. For instance, I have an action that creates a UIDoc. Debug walks through the action code, but losses it when the UIDoc is created. No debugging is done on that new UI doc and that is where I need it the most. - Damn! “Stop” won’t even work. Is there a work around?

Also, as long as I’m here, when will IBM add decent functionality to adding icons/links to the bookmark? When a user clicks a link in an e-mail, it adds the db icon to the workspace. But IBM pushes not using the workspace in favor of using the bookmark.nsf, but have added nothing to the functionality of adding it to the bookmark. What good is sending someone a link to a db, if I have to go visit their desk and add it to their bookmark because everyone uses the welcome page.

Further, some users get adventurous and find the “Workspace Tab 1” under the “Database” bookmark. In our setup, it is listed right under “Workspace”. Confusing? Why is there Workspace and then Workspace Tab 1? I haven’t installed R8 yet, but until IBM does away with the client, I hope R8 cleans up the UI when it comes to bookmarks and the workspace.

Please IBM.
