Debug crashes Lotus Notes

Every time I set Notes to Debug and start any action which should start the Debugger my Notes client and designer crashes. I’m using Notes Release 8.5.1 SHF29 and this happens EVERY time. There are no error messages given.

I’ve had trouble previously where Debug is not called or started.

Help please!

In Notes.ini look for:

AddInMenus=NCMenu

EXTMGR_ADDINS=NCExtMgr

change to:

;AddInMenus=NCMenu

;EXTMGR_ADDINS=NCExtMgr

I looked in my Notes.ini and I had no entries for

AddInMenus=NCMenu

EXTMGR_ADDINS=NCExtMgr

or

;AddInMenus=NCMenu

;EXTMGR_ADDINS=NCExtMgr

I added, in turn, both of them, rebooted Notes and tried again. Notes crashed both times as soon as I tried to run Notes Debug

Any other suggestions?

Hi Rosie,

Please remove the lines again.

I think it’s an AV problem ?

Are you using McAfee ?

If possible exclude your Notes directories from AV scanning.

Test ?
