DDM on Lotus notes

Hi All,we have following taxonomy.

Library

-------- Department

------Deal Document

----Supporting Core Document

--------Document attached to Core Document.

I we try to implement this using DDM

Library

-------- Department (File Room)

------Deal Document (file Cabinet)

----Supporting Core Document (Binder)

--------Document attached to

We will have( Sub Binder).

The problem is DDM will create a database for each file cabinet and if we implement in the above pattern we will have a database for each deal.

We do not have large volume of data at the deal level. With DDM can we have three level of binders under a file cabinet.

This will help us to reduce the number of databases and we will have a file cabinet per department.

If this is not possible

We plan to use lotus notes client with out line and response document feature of lotus notes to create the taxonomy.

The ideas is to create

An outline like

Library

Department A

Department B

Department C

On click of department A a view will open for from database A

Which show

A Parent document and responses

As follows

Deal Document (parent document)

----Supporting Core Document (Response document)

--------Document attached to

We will have (response to response document.).

This will help us keep all the deal in one file cabinet in one database.

Our document management requirement are just storage and Tracking of document for closer.( Which require workflow)

We do not need to track versions and check in check out feature available in DDM.

Do you see any issue in this design with regards to performance if the number of deals grows our more than 1000 and less than 1500?

Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.

Regards
