DDM Housekeeping

I have just started using the Domino Domain Monitoring db (DDM). Just wondering what do I need to do after I close out the events. Are they just building up under Closed category or do I need to delete them manually. I checked the database design and there no agent to clean up/delete old events. Any comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
