DDE: Pressing escape to close a design element doesn't work

Open a design element in DDE. Make some changes (or don’t). Press escape. The design element remains open.

Past behavior in all prior releases was to close the design element (and if changes were made it would prompt you asking if you wanted to save).

Subject: Works fine for me

Subject: I’ll look again

I swear I saw this yesterday too… Maybe I was in a specific type of element. I’ll double-check. Thanks!

Subject: No, definitely isn’t working for me for some elements.

To reproduce:

  1. Open a DB in DDE.

  2. Swing open the set to see the list of design element types

  3. Double-click forms

  4. Press escape <<< Doesn’t work for me

  5. Double-click on a form to open it

  6. Press escape <<< DOES work for me

It appears that any Pre-8.5 design element can be closed by pressing escape (e.g. a form, a view, etc.).

However any new design element (xPage, Custom Control) can’t.

The lists themselves (e.g. double-click on “Folders”, “Forms”, etc.) also cannot be closed by pressing escape.

Subject: Same here - I hadn’t checked the new design elements or the lists, just that forms/views etc
