Dcontroller

Hi, my name is Javier and I am a new baby on lotus notes server. I installed lotus notes 6.1 server and everything went fine, however when I try to connect to the server is coming up wiht the dcontroller not running or not listening on port 2050.I look on the help and they say to look for the dcontroller.ini file and change the port but I just can find the dcontroller.ini file any where.

Can you guys tell me how to work around this issue.

How do you try to connect to the server? With the W32 Admin Client? Web Admin Client? Remote Java Console?

I was trying to use the java console, if is not to much to ask how you connect to with the w32 admin client?I was able to login to the server when I added the -jc to the registry I rebooted my server and it went to the process of loading up the server and I can see the connections to the server on the command window i used the show users command and I was able to see what was happening, but I want to be able to login to the server on the GUI interface and create users. when I double click on the java console and brings up the console and click on the File → Connect to server I entered my username and password and because is trying to listen on port 2050 I can’t find the dcontroller.ini to change it to another port.

I used the user that was created during the installation and access the server I was actually looking at the screen and saw the activity. I know there is something called the client administrator right?

Thanks
