DB's showing up in Address book

I see that only users and groups show up in the address book, however, when a user selects the address… button in the client they are seeing alot of other databases to include in there address list, including the administration request db. Is the a way to hide those from the users?

Those are mail in databases, and no, you can’t hide them from the users. The server needs those, and there may be some users (internal and externel) that need to send to those databases.

Although . . . there could be a way to restrict the users that are able to send to those.

If you want to block the databases from showing in the address book, open your admin client and go to the “People & Groups” tab, then “Mail In Database Resources”.Right Click on the offending mail-in database and go to “document properties”

go to the “security” tab , “who can read this document”

de-select “all readers and above”

change it to your servers, and admin group…or whoever you want to allow.

Let us know how you do

That’s all!
